VOLUNTEER WORK

• 08/2003: Rebuilding of Wuse Local Market (Nigeria) – Took part in the week long rebuilding of the capital’s local market, which engrossed in flames following a suspected electrical burn out. This was very challenging as the people most affected were low income traders and retailers providing local food items. Work involved general labor in setting up new market stalls and helping to coordinate the activities younger volunteers.

• 06/2002: Rag Day Volunteers – This is an effort where students go around businesses and school in a bid to raise money for orphanages, local clinics, and disease awareness. That year, I participated in raising money for HIV Aids awareness, going to over 30 High Schools and 20 business firms to raise and create awareness.
